What makes it special is the roofs: stallholders decorate them with figures and little scenes\, so remember to look up. I’d come in the late afternoon. You can see the details on the roofs in daylight\, then watch everything light up as it gets dark. On opening day\, 25 November\, the stalls open at 17:00\, with the opening ceremony at 18:00 in the courtyard of the Old Castle. On Fridays and Saturdays the market stays open until 22:00. \nGetting there\nThe market is close to Stuttgart Hauptbahnhof. Take S-Bahn lines S1 to S6 or S60 to the Hauptbahnhof or Stadtmitte\, and it’s about a 5-minute walk from either.
