Evenings and Saturdays are the most popular times\, and it’s of course worth it. For easy browsing\, come on a weekday morning. Listen for the Advent music from the town hall balcony\, where brass groups and choirs play every day. Don’t miss the Kripperlmarkt by the Alter Peter church\, one of the biggest nativity-scene markets in Germany. In the town hall\, the Himmelswerkstatt lets kids dress up as little angels and make Christmas crafts. Stalls are closed on Sunday 22 November\, and on Christmas Eve the market closes at 14:00. \nGetting there\nAll S-Bahn lines (S1 to S8) and the U3 and U6 stop at Marienplatz\, directly under the market. From the Hauptbahnhof\, any S-Bahn heading into the center gets you there in two stops. Karlsplatz (Stachus) and Odeonsplatz also work.
