Christmas Market at Charlottenburg Palace (Berlin)

November 23 - December 27

A market in front of the baroque Charlottenburg Palace, lit up at night. Mon to Thu 13:00 to 22:00, Fri to Sun 12:00 to 22:00. Closed 24 Dec. Free entry. Hours as published by the organizer in October 2026; check the official site before you go.

Insider tips

With the baroque palace lit up in color behind the wooden huts, this is one of Berlin’s most romantic Christmas markets. It’s been running since 2007, and more than 100 exhibitors sell crafts like Advent stars, Christmas pyramids, candles and ceramics, plus treats like candied apples and wood-oven bread. Families will like the two small children’s carousels and the little Ferris wheel, and brass players stroll through the market. Evenings and weekends are the most popular times, so come on a weekday afternoon if you want it calmer (it opens at 13:00 Monday to Thursday). Entry is free. It’s closed on 24 December but open again on 25 and 26 December. During the market, the palace also offers special tours about the Hohenzollern family’s Christmas traditions.

Getting there

Buses 109 and M45 stop at Luisenplatz/Schloss Charlottenburg, right at the market. You can also take the U2 to Sophie-Charlotte-Platz or the S-Bahn (S41, S42 or S46) to Westend and walk from there.

Nearby markets

For a second Berlin market, the WeihnachtsZauber Gendarmenmarkt in Mitte is open every day through New Year’s Eve.
